Fundraising ideas

Badminton shuttlecockThere are so many different ways your pupils can raise money for Macmillan. Events can be large or small, unusual or traditional. Running a fundraising event requires thought and planning. It’s a great opportunity for your pupils to broaden their skill base and work as a team while raising money to help people living with cancer.

  • In the classroom
    • Art fairs, cake sales and maths quizzes are just a few ways you can tie in fundraising with learning.
  • Sporting ideas
    • Pupils can get fit and raise money with sponsored swims, netball tournaments or a five-a-side football challenge.
  • Out of lessons
    • Summer balls, karaoke competitions, dress down days, raffles… the possibilities are endless!

And we have all the tools you need to make your event a success, from posters to sponsor forms.

If you have any great ideas we’ll post them here, so let us know. And don’t forget - if you have any photographs from your fundraising we can display then in our Hall of Fame!
