Table tennis raquetsStaying healthy has never been so important, and giving pupils a challenge is a great way to get them involved!

Whether it’s a sponsored run, swim or walk, or a football or netball competition, sporting events are always one of the most popular ways to raise money.

The type of activity will always change according to the age and ability of the pupil, but setting a challenge is easy. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Swim a mile (around 64 lengths of a standard pool) or organise a swimathon
  • Hold a volleyball tournament
  • ShuttlecockJoin in a sponsored jog
  • Do a traditional sports day with wheelbarrow races and egg and spoon races
  • Teacher vs pupils football challenge
  • Hold a pool tournament.

You can either charge people to enter events or get sponsored – and you can get more people involved and raise even more money by selling refreshments to spectators!
