Macmillan has produced a new edition of the excellent free Cancertalk teaching pack . This new edition still contains all the information teachers need to talk confidently with their pupils about cancer in an assembly or classroom, and now features newly designed resource sheets, classroom poster and DVD with teacher's and classroom modules.

Campaign against unfair hospital travel and parking charges

On average cancer patients pay £325 in parking and travel costs when undergoing treatment. We think they have enough to cope with, without this added expense. We are campaigning for free travel and parking for cancer patients attending hospital for treatment and we need your help. Find out how you can add your voice and urge your MP to take action !

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, Friday 26 September 2008

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is a fun and easy way for you and your class to raise money and help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Whether you organise an event with parents, ask children to bring in cakes for a breaktime treat, or put a collection box by the kettle in the staffroom, every penny will make a difference. Simply arrange a time for everyone to get together, provide some tasty refreshments (or get the children to make them) and ask people to make a donation.
